The purpose of this study is to determine if repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) can reduce marijuana craving and use, or change the way parts of the brain react to marijuana-related images. This study will involve approximately 10 volunteers.  Dr. Greg Sahlem is the investigator in charge of this study.

What type of study is this?

This is a clinical trial for people seeking to reduce or stop their marijuana use.

How long is the study?

Participants can expect to commit to the study for nine (9) weeks.

What will be expected of me if I participate in the study?

Participants can expect study activities to include:

 Screening interview

Filling out forms

Undergoing two (2) MRI scans

Providing urine and saliva samples

10 rTMS treatment sessions on consecutive Mondays-Fridays including three (3) individual therapy sessions

Two follow-up visits

Will I be paid for this study?

Yes. Participants will be paid for study-related time and travel.

Who is eligible for the study?

Men and women, ages 18 – 60, who currently use marijuana on a regular basis.
